About S Chicken Naturals

Sydney Chicken of S Chicken Naturals (formerly S Chicken & Company Pty. Ltd) began by exporting raw buchu leaf and aloe crystals to Europe and the America’s in the early 1940’s.

His grandson, Ernest, motivated by enhancing the products locally, then began distilling and exporting the essential oil of buchu in the early 1970’s.

His son, Andrew joined the business in 1998 and was later joined by his daughter Lindsey, who had worked in the field of nature conservation locally.

This passion for producing quality South African natural botanical products continues, mindful of the sustainability of our floral heritage.

We are located just outside Citrusdal (about 200km north of Cape Town), in the Cederberg Mountains of the Cape.
